Wikipedia - Sherlock Holmes The Junior Denizens of the Bar of Gold is a Junior scion of the parent group The Denizens of the Bar of Gold. The group has been formed to keep the memory of the Master "green".
Meeting on a bimonthly basis, the Junior Denizens will study the Arthur Conan Doyle canon of 56 short stories and 4 novels. Our purpose is to read, discuss and enjoy the stories that have made Sherlock Holmes the most celebrated character in English literature.
As you read the stories, perhaps some questions would help stimulate your thought processes. There are two sites operated by the Junior Denizens that will be of interest to any budding student of the canon. The bar of gold is the blog where you can meet the members of our band of poor devils and communicate with them. 221Blog: Questioning the canon will let you participate in our discussion by seeing the questions that are asked our meetings and commenting on them. Our members will be online from time to time to contact you with their thoughts. Try them!
Also The Hounds of the Internet and The View Halloa cover the Canon with their penetrating questions and commentary.
Our group can be joined by anyone interested in the comraderie and fun that attends the intellectual pursuit of problem solving. Each meeting will focus on a specific story from the canon.
